What are learning disabilities?
Learning disabilities is a general term that refers to a heterogeneous group of disorders manifested by significant difficulties in the acquisition and use of listening, speaking, reading, writing, reasoning, or mathematical abilities. Membership is open to nationally-based, non-profit organizations with a major purpose to support individuals with learning disabilities and have demonstrated a commitment to improve the quality of education, programs, and services for individuals with learning disabilities.
